If you are having trouble with the Google Authenticator app, you can change your authenticator account or disable it by following these steps:
- Go to your Binance account and click “Profile” – “Security”.
- Next to “Google Authentication,” click “Change”. to replace the existing Google Authenticator account, or click “Delete” to disable the current authenticator account To disable the current authenticator account and connect a new one later.
Please note: Withdrawals and P2P sales will be disabled for 24 hours after this change is made.
3.1. If you clicked “Change”:
Read the warning carefully and click “Confirm”.
To delete your old Google Authenticator account, you need to confirm the request on your device with access to two-factor authentication. Then click “Delete and continue”.
Scan the QR code with the Google Authenticator app. If you can’t scan it, enter the key manually in the app and click Next.
You will see a backup key. Save it on paper. This key will allow you to restore your Google Authenticator account if you are unable to access the app in the future.
Click “Next” if you confirm the reset
Now confirm the action with your email and your new Google Authenticator account to complete the setup.
3.2 If you clicked “Delete”:
Read the warning carefully and click “Confirm”.
Confirm your request with a device with two-factor authentication access and click “Delete”.
Your Google Authenticator account has been successfully deleted. Click Back to Security.
You can now link your new Google Authenticator account to your Binance account by clicking “Enable”.
If you are signed in to your Binance account, but have lost access to your Google Authenticator app or it has stopped working, you can reset your Google Authentication account by following these steps:
- Click “Change” or “Delete” next to “Google Authentication”.
- Read the warning carefully and click “Confirm”.
Please note: Withdrawals and P2P sales will be disabled for 24 hours after this change is made.
Click “No access to security check” on the two-factor authentication confirmation page.
- Check the box next to “Google Authenticator is unavailable” and click “Confirm Reset”.
- You need to confirm this action on the other available devices for two-factor authentication and click “Send” .
- You will also need to complete additional checks. Follow the instructions for completion:
- Answer the secret questions
- Verification of documents
- Face Check:
Check in the PC browser or scan the QR-code with the Binance app.
To do this, go to the Binance app and select the scan icon in the top right corner of the page.
- Once you have passed all stages of verification, we will review your request as soon as possible. Please wait until the application is complete.
