NFT graphic images from Hollywood star Johnny Depp jumped in value shortly after his court victory over ex-spouse Amber Heard. According to Mintalytics, the market price of Never Fear Truth tokens surpassed the 0.8 ETH mark in early June. That’s when the jury convicted Amber Heard.

In addition to the price increase, the number of sales skyrocketed. According to OpenSea Marketplace, the number of sales of collection tokens soared to a record high of 212 units on June 2. Users traded about 170,000 ETH (~$30.6 million) in one day.
As a reminder, a jury upheld Johnny Depp on three counts of defamation. The jury also ordered Depp to pay $2 million to Heard on a counterclaim. The star of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie series sued Amber Heard after she wrote an op-ed column for The Washinghton Post in 2018 calling herself a “victim of domestic violence.” Depp demanded $50 million, and Heard counterclaimed for $100 million.
